Need to update the license manager to 11.19.1 at the same time as Creo 10

I tried to use Creo 10 today, and got a license failure.

I eventually found that I need to download a new license file from the license manager website, even though my hostid did not change (because PTC has upgraded my license to "10 and below" on the server side for me transparently). Got the new file and installed it.

Then I found the following message in my license server:

10:06:00 (ptc_d) Request denied: Client: XXX (11.19) newer than Vendor Daemon (11.17). (Version of vendor daemon is too old. (-83,21049))

The license manger installation doc is here:

  https://www.ptc.com/en/support/refdoc/creo_parametric/compatibility/ptc_lms_download

It has links to all the various versions, be careful to get the one you need, don't get confused like I did. 😞

Hi,

go to https://www.ptc.com/support/-/media/support/refdocs/Creo_Parametric/compatibility/PTC_LMS_Download.pdf?sc_lang=en document, download PTC_D_11.19.1.0_Linux.zip, unzip it and replace files on license server.

Take a look this article - "Getting the error message "(ptc_d) Request denied: Client (11.16) newer than Vendor Daemon (11.14). (Version of vendor daemon is too old. (-83,21049))" in lmgrd log file": https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS307201

The license manager software is included with the Creo 10 DVD image.
