I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.0.0

Hello,

We had a computer to use PTC creo parametric to design some equipements that was spendign long time to open every project, we upgraded this pc whit new CPU, RAM and GPU, but the problem persist, at the moment after many checks the PC is not having any bottleneck from this side.

Could you help us to fix this problem ?

This computer at the moment has:
windows 11
Intel ultra 7 265k
32GB DDR5
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 Aero OC 8G

Thanks you in advance
Kind regards

It might be helpful if you describe when the problem starts. Is it a long wait just to open creo from the icon? Is it a long wait to open a model? If it is a model, is it a large assembly or a part (complicated or simple)?

One of the first troubleshooting techniques is to remove all local customizations to see if it something in your setup. Temporarily rename all config.pro/config.sup files. Restart creo to see if that helps. Then you can slowly add back in options to see if one specific option is causing a problem.

If your creo is going launching via a network installation, sometimes that causes problems.

If you have hundreds/thousands of search paths, this can slow down opening of large models.

    Hi,

remove/rename all config.pro files and start new project ... what will happen?

The problem may be caused by a combination of following config.pro options.

    SEARCH_PATH

    SEARCH_PATH_FILE

    DISABLE_SEARCH_PATH_CHECK   no

    ---

Note: If the number of search paths is in the thousands and the number of files is in the tens of thousands, the system response is slow.
