Phantom Points in Sheet Metal Part

I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0

There appear to be a collection of points in a sheet metal part related to the Driving Surface feature. It's unclear how they were created. They are un-selectable, and I am unable to remove them from the model.

If I remake the part as a sheet metal part instead of a conversion, I don't get this issue.

I don't know why but when I deleted the driving surface (and all the features after) and recreated the driving surface the points didn't come back.
