Pro/E to JT Translator

Does anyone have detailed information about the Pro/E to JT translator? Licensing, optional settings, strengths /weaknesses of the translator.

Our PLM system uses JT's to communicate CAD design with non-Pro/E users. I'd like to create corresponding JT's as the CAD files are saved to the Db but could live with batching them during non-peak hours.
