I know Spec use to have a benchmark to evaluate data set performance when looking at hardware. Doe anyone know where this is for WF4 M160 and new computers? Other comments greatly appriciated.

I am looking at test the following:

HP Z800 Workstation
6 Core Xeon X5650 2.67gHz
12 GB RAM 1333mHz
AMD FirePro V5900 2GB DDR5
1024x768 resolution
450 GB SASS

    Hi Marc,

We usually use Olaf Corten's http://www.proesite.com/ V5 benchmark. There is a 32 and 64 bit version and you can compare your results to others using the benchmark (but between the 32 and 64 bit versions).

For your specs the six core wont help and the 2.67GHz will hold you back a bit, RAM looks good, not familiar with that graphics card but I think the FirePro is the profesional (open GL) one and not a gaming card and 2GB DDR5 is good. Interestingly low resolution you show.

    Regards, Brent
