PTC Creo View Adobe plugin issues

Hi,

Currently, we are using Creo View 4.1 and the Creo View Plug-in (v. 11.1.0.27 F000). We're experiencing some problems when opening PDF files in Windchill.

When any user opens a PDF file in Windchill, it gives 2 messages that it wants to install the Creo View plugin for Adobe, which is already installed. After the message, the PDF opens without any problems.

It doesn't matter if you ignore or install the plugin, the messages keep poppig up everytime you want to open a PDF file.

We tried different Adobe Reader/Acrobat versions, but the result is the same.

Can anyone elaborate on this issue? Maybe we are overlooking something.

Thanks in advance!

It looks like a mismatch between versions.

Plug in for Windchill 11.1, adapters for 11.0!

If I read your information right, you are running Windchill 11.1 which requires the CreoView Adapters 4.2.

    Hi Ben,

It's Windchill 10.2 (or .5, not sure). And I just found out that the problem only occurs with Adobe Acrobat Pro and not with Adobe Reader.
