Question

"purge" command integrated in the Creo interface

Opening up a dos command to type purge is a bit "antic".

What about having a simple line or icon in the Creo interface?

-> Purge directory

Automaticly purging subdirectories would be nice too or atleast icon for it.

Did you know this is already possible ? Create a new mapkey and just type purge in the OS Script tab. Then you can assign an icon to the mapkey and place it in the ribbon or Quick Access Toolbar

The OS Script would do the same as Open System Window in your working directory and call purge.

The whole Purge utility would benefit from an update, though.  We run Pro/E from a network install, and I've had to do some significant hacking of the batch file system to make Purge work (although having done that, we've added it to the Windows Explorer RMB menu for directories which is very useful).

A new version must maintain the ability (optional!) to recursively purge subdirectories, though (which we achieve through another layer of batch file).

Thank you Tom for this nice turnaround.

PTC could create & add a purge icon (functionality) to the default interface.
