Hi Schematics Community!

We are launching a WHDP project and configuring Schematics and Parametric for the first time and will be a frequent contributor from here on out! Yay!

So I"m a Creo Paramteric admin guy and wishing I had a config option to set the default Location.

Is there such a way to acheive this?

Hi ,

Default location for designs can be set by:

  • File Application Manu->Options->Directory Defaults -> set the folder for designs (see image below)

directories_def.jpg

for additional info, please review topic :"About Creo Schematics System Default Files" in Creo Schematics Help Center

(if directories defaults were not set - the defaults will be the start folder as defined in the application shortcut properties)

You can set all your Directory Defaults, Switches, Folder Structure on local machine, and push latest Configs, such as UI's, Plot Files, ...ect to all your End Users with a .bat file. and a start-up shortcut referencing the .bat file.
