Hello everybody,

I am facing to some difficulties with my Pro/eng server. The server where the application was installed has been virtualized. Then I've noticed that the service couldn't be started. The logs said that the hostid was not good. Then I realized that the hostid is actually the mac address. I've changed the hostid into the dat file to the new virtual adapter but the service still failed to launch and I get a new error message:

14:21:02 (ptc_d) Invalid license key (inconsistent authentication code)
14:21:02 (ptc_d) ==>INCREMENT 127 ptc_d 27.0 permanent 2 60A0009049C81903ED5D \ etc...

Please, could someone help?

Thanks a lot!

Laurent

Laurent,

YOU NEED TO GET NEW LICENSE FILE.

Licence file is generated by PTC license department for specific MAC address. If your MAC address changes, then you have to reconfigure your license ... you have to move it from the "old MAC address" to "new MAC address". To do this, you can use PTC web tools or open call at PTC.
