setup -uilog no longer works?

Using Wildfire 4 M180 on Windows 7 (32-bit)

REF: TPI 103331

Trying to record custom installation path, license server, etc. choices so I can perform 1-click install on the next workstation. Opened a command prompt as administrator, ran "setup -uilog" to record my choices and nothing happened - just got a new command prompt. Running "setup" by itself worked fine.

Does the technique in TPI 10331 no longer work for Wildfire 4?

How can I record / playback installation choices to create a 1 click install?

Yes this works. The topic is also discussed in the Wildfire 4 Installation and Administration guide.



  • Can't use UNC paths to record or play back. Need to map shared folder to drive letter (or use local files)

  • Need write permission in the folder where you start PTC.Setup to be able to record the setup trail file.
