Creo 8.0.4.0 - Quality Agent Issues, Embedded Browser not available

Hey PTC Community,

many students report problems with the quality agent and the embedded browser.

Either it says the Quality Agend cannot be initalized or the embedded Browser is not available.  We require the access to the browser to teach the PDM systems to our students.

We reinstalled Creo with Admin permissions (with system restart), updated Java, turned off the firewall

Is there anything else we can try?

Hey,

unfortunately the article does not provide a solution, that works. The reinstallation of the creosvcs_64.exe does not work for us. I even supervised the studetns during the reinstallation, so they do not make mistakes. However, no clear pattern is visible when it works and when it fails.

 

We have multiple students using Creo and encountering creo_agent and quality_manager issues. They are not happy, that they need more time to (re-)install the software than for learning designing. 

Maybe PTC can thoroughly go through that issues. I cannot create a ticket directly at PTC, beacuse we have distribution partner for our regular academic licences. However, our distribution partner is of course not responsible for the "free" academic version of Creo...
