Internal server Error code 500, Modeling Express Activation Key

Hello ptc

When trying to activate Modeling Express 6.0, to get my 72 hour key I am getting the following error in my browser "Internal server Error code 500".

As a side note, I have been having to do the 72 hour key for a couple of years now as I get a Proxy Configuration-Connection Failed error for automatic activation. This has not been a big deal as the 72 hour key is a bit of an annoyance but not that big of a deal.

Please see attached screenshots.

May be you can read the post Can't use Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express: Activation Key server down which does describe the same problem. It looks like that problem with the PTC Server appeared first on 16th Oct. 2025.

For the moment, there seemed to be no workaround available.

BTW:  that 'proxy' problem was solved within Modeling Express 9.0 ..   see this Can't use Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express: Activation Key server down for further information inclusive hints for downloading.

Thanks you, der_Wolfgang

I installed Modeling Express 9.0 and I am now able to log directly into the application, no need for the activation key!

Hi Catalina,  I have been getting THIS SAME CLOUDFLARE ERROR 500 when I try to use my CoCreate Modeling Personal Edition 3.0 which I have been USING FOR YEARS successfully. But when I tried on Oct. 25th, and the program tries to  request an access code from the PTC server (using:

https://www.ptc.com/appserver/securePeModeling/peManualLic.jsp?lang=en&u=bgmom&m=BETHSLAPTOP&w=6.1&v=30.00 ) it SEEMS that the delay created by the CLOUDFLARE "proxy" causes the PTC server to report "no internet connection" ... which is NOT the case!  Research re. the Cloudflare Error 500 says that IT IS NOT AN ERROR WITH CLOUDFLARE, BUT with the host server ... PTC.COM

PTC offers NO SUPPORT or EVEN A WAY TO ALERT THEM TO THE PROBLEM ... and meanwhile I am LOCKED OUT of using the program and completing my project!    PLEASE PLEASE try and get them to FIX it, as I don't think "reloading my old software" will solve it, and my computer does NOT RUN Creo Elements/Direct Modeling Express WELL AT ALL!!!  THANK YOU in advance!
