Can I write and read value from files?

Dear colleges

How can I write and read values to/from file with javascript

I will make metrics table. it needs many fields as you know.

but it isn't nice.

so, to reduce integrity fields, I want to save values to external file,

and whenever metrics table displays, read the value considering metrics fields(ex, ID, other fields value)

I think it is not simple, but if there is person knows or experiences about this, that will be great help for me.
