Customize ID field

Dear Team,

I had existing requirement and specification document, these document contains the requirement and specification Id's like "SSR-1.1" or "TSR-1.2". I need to trace the documents according to existing Id's not as per PTC ID. How I will use my Id's in PTC for tracing? As PTC has its own ID field which was non editable?

    Hello Amol,

    From what I have seen, most organizations migrating data from a previous system into Integrity would create a new field to hold the values of those legacy requirement IDs and have them populated by scripts when importing the data into Integrity. Members of the PTC Global Services team can assist with this type of migration if you would like consultation.
