Implementer 10.2 - Where do I find a listing of what the return codes mean?

I'm getting the following message:

Communication to remote system failed with a return code of 530.

Where do I find a listing of what the return code means?

Likely causes for a 530 return code:

    • Check MWIPROD user profile - some causes are:
      • Password has expired
      • User profile is disabled
      • User profile no longer exists
      • Invalid library in MWIPROD job description library list
      • User profile password does not match IMCMNUSR data area password
        • Logged on as QSECOFR look at data area IMCMNUSR in Implementer product library
        • First 10 characters contain MWIPROD
        • Second 10 characters contain password

This typically means that MWIPROD does not have the authority it needs.

If you go to our website and search our knowledgebase for 530, you will see an article that explains exactly what MWIPROD needs.

There is no list of return codes, as they typically can mean multiple things.

Hope this helps. If not, please log a case with Support and they will help.

The 530 error is probably coming from the FTP file transfer process.

You can change the IMTSTMOD data area to '*MSG' and re-run the promotion ... a transcript of the FTP conversation will be sent to the joblog. This will give you information about the specific function, that was being executed through FTP, that is failing.
