FATAL log:

2016-03-13 14:03:22,041 Unable to create temporary file in directory C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Temp\.  An exception occurred: The system cannot find the path specified.  Ensure that the directory exists and that the Integrity Server has permission to write to it.

Server log:

2016-03-13 14:02:41,198 ERROR [org.apache.catalina.startup.Embedded] Cannot find specified temporary folder at C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Temp\

2016-03-13 14:02:42,041 INFO  [org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11NioProtocol] Initializing Coyote HTTP/1.1 on https

I had to create the Temp folder myself. I then gave EVERYONE permission. That accomplished something because now there is a folder named "hsperfdata_SYSTEM" in there, however I continue to get these error log messages.

I installed the server on the 😧 drive if that makes any difference.

Lastly, I am a complete newbie to Integrity.

I think I've gotten past this by changing the location of the temp folder. Now I have a licensing issue but I'll save that for another post:

2016-03-13 16:17:38,786 Shutdown requested by Configuration service. Reason: Unable to request application licenseUnable to startup Security Service: Service mks:name=License not started due to errors: License problems: Can't Connect to License Server (-15,3002)

    Hi ,

First check the Flexnet Status it's showing "UP" or "Down" or if still problem exists you can re-install it and refer the admin guide...

    Hope this helps...

    Hello Bob,

I believe CS90304 covers your first issue.

Your second issue looks like it's probably an issue communicating with the Flexnet license server, and should be addressed by CS115774.

    Regards,

    Kael

Thank you, although this probably does address my problem, the root issue is that I didn't know I needed a FLEXNet server. I thought the license file I had to generate is all I  needed. I will have to try to figure out what FLEXNet is and how to install and configure it.

A bit more than a year later we had a similar Problem. After a Windows update, that required a Server restart, the Integrity Service did not start.

Log Entry: Can't Connect to License Server (-15,3002).

We checked against all points of CS115774 without success. Flex-Server was running properly with all licenses, IM-Server service did not start.

Finally I uninstalled the Flexnet-Server and reinstalled it. I don't know why, but exactly that solved the problem.

    Probably helpful for anyone else.
