Need a work around for importing a MS word document using office 2016, 64 bit and versioning.

I need a workaround for the gateway which cannot support office 2016, 64 bit . 

 

My largest need is for a document importer run by the admin (me). I think it would be similar to the create issue.  I am new to writing scripts and could use a good tutorial.  Any suggestions would be helpful.

 

We have developed an versioned document PDF export with a third party support but didn't have budget to do the import.

Hi Troth,

when you import a Word file with Gateway, you don't need word at all.

The Gateway reads the docx file and converts the word data using so called XSLT files into the PTC Integrity internal IIF format. 

The "gateway server package", which you can download from the PTC Software page, contains at least 2 examples, that work quite good.

Can you try them out, and let me know your results?
