Which protocol is using by PSM?

Hello @ all,

I am in an apprenticeship in the 3rd year and now I have to do my final project.

For this project I'm installing dynaTrace for monitoring our Integrity servers.

What I want to know is which protocol is using by PSM?

I already know the SNMP - Simple Network Management Protocol.

Is this protocol also used by the PSM?

Thank you very much for your help.

Regards,

Florian

    Hello Florian,

From the Compuware APM Community site it appears that PSM (Dynatrace) uses TCP connections for its HTTP traffic between the various components. The documentation states that Dynatrace may also be configured to use SSL.

Maybe the traffic between an agent and a server is using the SNMP protocol and the traffic between a server and my webclient or a thick client is over HTTP with SSL?

    Thank you for your help!

Out of curiousity, to what purpose are you intending to use this information?
