pattern error

hi, 

 

i have a problem with the pattern command, where is i chose the feature to pattern and the surface on which i wanted it , and the point of origin.

The pattern dots appear to be in my desired place, but the feature is generated elsewhere.

what kind of sorcery is this.

You've run afoul of the Fel Magic....  LOL

Something is wrong with your references.  If you're using a "point" pattern, under the "Option" tab use "Use alternate origin" and manually pick the correct starting point by using "query-select" to make sure you get the EXACT reference you want.
