Yes, contact analysis is available only in advanced stimulate.

Hi,

Are you abosolutely sure, I found the PTC flyers confusing.

I can forgive frictional and perhaps infinite friction being placed in Advanced but not basic 'bread and butter' frictionless. Surley frictionless contact is in the 'standard' offering as it was before?

Can anyone clarify? Perhaps PTC can clarify?

I don't want to go off on a half cocked (not a rude word but refers to the inept use of a musket) rant.

Thanks

Shall I raise a support call to answer this question?

PTC should respond.

Why won't they clear this question up?

Why doesn't PTC respond?

Should I waste the time of technical support?

I think you could probably clear this up in a few minutes (support minutes...not always consistent with real world minutes) with a call to support.

Hi, the difference is the following:

SDA Contact is available with basic simulate license.

LDA Contact is available in Creo Advance Simulation Extension.

What you say is as it currently is. SDA frictionless contact has been in the standard s/w since last century.

That is NOT what PTC say. If they leave it as you say that would be ok (I fundementally disagree about being forced to rent the software).

If the capabilities summary below is correct then PTC have made an error of judgement.
