Mathcad prime 8.0.0.0 slow

The company I work for just updated from Mathcad prime 7 to Mathcad prime 8. Is there a reason why it is so slow? Is there any suggestions as to remedy this?

With version 7, if I changed a variable it took less than 5 minutes for it to filter through the worksheet and I was still able to scroll with relative smoothness. Version 8 is horrible! It is taking 2 to 3 times as long for the same worksheets to filter through, scrolling during this is virtually obsolete and it will crash unexpectedly,

Can someone from PTC answer why version 8 is this way? What are the steps being taken to fix this?
