Need help recovering a corrupted MATHCAD 15 file
I have been working on this since last two days and just completed my work and then suddenly Mathcad crashes and gives me an error that the contents of the file have been corrupted.
I tried everything, used the recovery file also but cant recover. I just dont know what to do.
I would really appreciate if anyone can help me with this.
Thanks
P.S. the file is in attachment.

Did you use Stuart's recovery worksheet?

No, just deleted the lines throwing the error with a simple text editor 😉

Neat trick. I have just attempted it and got the file to open. So you just delete the code containing the errors and simply save?

Yes, I deleted every line beginning with
<box left="1.5" top="0.75" width=........
and I have no idea what I have done by doing so, whats missing now in the file and why the error was thrown 😉
I just noticed that near the end of the file there is an area with no expressions inside, so possibly expressions placed there cause the error. I also noticed that when I open the file in Mathcad and resave it, it nearly doubles its size of the file.
Its quite possible that Stuarts sheet can deal better with that file.

The Box line appears to relate to the show border option on the <properties> tab, but when I have set this in MC 15 it doesn't write the HTML code in the same way.
Quite how this code was written is unclear.

Try the attached file.
At the end of the file one of the regions was corrupt and I replaced a missing denominator with xxx. You'll have to throw in the correct length here.

Attached is a first quick repair attempt.
I have deleted a complete region in the xml structure, so something has to be missing.
Maybe someone can come up with a more sensitive way to repair your file.

Please open a new thread in such cases!
I could open your worksheet without problems
I flipped through the sheet and spotted no error
I added some text add the end and saved the sheet without problems (it took a second or two to do so).
So it looks all OK to me.
For whatever its worth I add the resaved worksheet here.

Please open a new case for this, and just attach the mathcad file. No need to use an archive.
Success!

Notice that the Sheetviewer (https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Mathcad/Can-t-see-your-sheet-but/m-p/636482 ) can still display the contents, sort of.
What's the error message that Mathcad gives you?
(Specifically, does it give you a location?)
Success!

Try this.
I removed the offending part, and possibly a bit more (collateral damage). Hope it opens in Mathcad 15.
So you may need to repair a little something.
Success!
