I randomly throw (1000 times! Keep a patience!) five points into a square and draw a second-order curve through them.
These are seven curves:
- a hyperbola (we can see one or two branches) and an ellipse (full or a part of it) - two usual cases;
- a parabola, a circle, two intersecting lines, two parallel straight lines and one straight line - five rare cases!
But the Seven is a fine number!
Who will see all seven possible curves, must have good health, happiness and prosperity in the new 2018 year!
