During Creo 5 install missing JRE selection under Options on a new PC.  Help!

Why do you think the Creo installer should install JRE for you? Has it done so in the past?

Whenever I've installed something that requires a specific level of JRE I only remember installing it independently.

Hi,

after January 1, 2019, PTC is no longer authorized to distribute non-publicly available versions of Java JRE (Java Runtime Environment) or the JDK (Java Development Kit) with product installations.
