Directory Links in File Repositories

Hello Everyone,

I would like to extend an existing FileRepository Thing with links to directories in the same network as the Thingworx server.

When simply copying the Links into the FileRepository (on the Thingworx server, not the composer view), the content of these directory links is not traversed when running e.g "BrowseDirectory" service of the Repository.

Is there a way to also access the content of these links? The reason is that we have some projects distributed in the network and the files of these projects should be accessed via a Thingworx Thing (preferably fileRepositoryThing)

Any suggestions are appreciated very much!

Best Regards,

Dominik

when you create a filerepository thing - it will create the folder structure in ThingworxStorage/repository -- place your files here in order to access it on thingworx. then you got to see those files through BrowseDirectory service.

Thank you for your reply.

I already did that what you suggested but not with the folder itself but with a link to the folder. So this link was placed in Thingworx/Storage but when browsing this directory through the "BrowseDirectory" Service, the link only appears as "Folder.lnk" and does not show its content
