Hi Luar,
Could you explain what questions you still have?
The product and library are containers (similar a directory or folder) inside of an Org.
The differences are mostly in what is put inside of them.
Products holds things that are used to build an enditem
Example of a Product container (Computer 1000):
- A computer would be an end item (namely computer 1000)
- Parts that build the computer (RAM, CPU, GPU, HDD, Motherboard, Monitor, Case, Fans, ect.)
- Documentation on the parts and enditem
- Other things related to this end item or product
Libraries hold common components or parts
Example of a Library container (Computer Screws):
- There is no end Item for a Library
- Many different kinds of screws (long screw, medium screw, short screw, trx screw, ect.)
The usage of each is what makes different, as the only real difference is that the Product has an End Item.
Hopefully this helps clarify, and please ask a direct question if you need further explaination.
Thanks,
Jarrett
