error wt.fc.ObjectVectorEnumerator

Hi Pros,

I am just wondering if anyone has seen wt.fc.ObjectVectorEnumerator error? It occurs in imbeded

browser only. Here is the scenario: I have an active workspace in the library. I start proe in that

workspace, then in the folder tree I select Library which shows me the list of all lib folders, but url path

still shows that I am in the workspace, I click on one of the folders, other then the folder where I have my workspace,

it goes to that folder and then it gives me the windchill error wt.fc.ObjectVectorEnumerator

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Dmitry

Dmitry,

We're running PDMLink/ProjectLink 9.0 M040, but using the standalone WGM for SolidWorks. We are seeing the same ObjectVectorEnumerator.

It appears randomly - and no matter how many times you go back and re-select the offending link, you'll get the same red-letter error. Restarting the WGM or your computer doesn't help. It seems that once you get the error on a particular link, its persistent for some period of time. Usually I try to go to the destination via a different route, and the problem goes away.

When I contacted PTC, they said this issue is resolved in 9.0 M080, which should be released later this month. We have not tried this, as we are in the midst of installing and testing our upgrade to 9.1 M020. Hopefully it goes away in that build as well.

When I contacted PTC just last month about this issue, below is the response they gave. We tried cleaning the Tomcat cache and restarting the Methodserver, but these didn't work for us. The gentleman from PTC who called to tell me about this option said it works for some, but not all.

Dear Michael,

You opened 7184330 with PTC Technical Support on 09-Jul-2009, with the following description:
"When browsing Project folders some users getting Windchill Error: wt.fc.ObjectVectorEnumerator. The issue is random"

SPR 1640519 was reported for this issue and has been resolved in Windchill PDMLink 9.0 M080. Please refer to www.ptc.com for software availability.
In the mean time I would recommend to restart Methodserver and clean Tomcat cache.

Please reopen the call if issue will happens again. In order to reopen the call, please add note to it and call will be reopen automatically.

Sincerely,

Here is one more workaround suggested by PTC

Upon receiving the error, return to your 'Projects List' page and select
the link to the project again. The error should now be gone. Also, make
sure that you are not on your 'Projects List' page when you close your
browser.
Complete the steps below to change the 'Return to Context on Login'
preference:
Step 1: Go to Home>Utilities>Preference Manager
Step 2: Expand 'Display' and select the pencil icon next to 'Return to
Context on Login'
Step 3: Select 'NO' and then click 'OK'
Step 4: Restart your browser
Alternatively you can ask users to search for the Project and then
access the Project.
