Can we install Analytics server on Windows server 2012 R2 machine

Hello,

Can we install Analytics server on host machine of Thingworx 8.

Thingworx 8 is hosted on windows server  2012 R2 maachine .

Which version of docker will work with this windows  OS.

Does it creates any impact for other components like dataconnect which has to be installed with Analytics server?

Apologies for the delay I was OOTO.

ThingWorx Analytics 8.0 is not currently supported with Windows 2012.

Windows 2012 is planned to be supported with ThingWorx Analytics 8.1 (which should be out end of September)

Can you please help with  these queries.


if we can install both on same machine, I can go with docker version of 17.03.0-ce right ?

In installation guide of  Analytics mentioned that

"Install the appropriate version of Docker for your operating system before installing the ThingWorx Analytics Server. On the Install Docker Engine site, find the installation instructions for your host operating system and follow them to install Docker version 17.03.0-ce or later."

As I mentioned in my query my OS is windows server 2012 R2.

Thank you very much for clearing my query.

So Thingworx8 is compatible with TWX analytics 8.1 or we have to upgrade Thingworx also?

Hi Raji

I do not have any information at this stage about the compatibility matrix of release 8.1, so I cannot tell you if you would need or not to update ThingWorx platform too.
