Connectivity to GE Healthcare ÄKTAxpress

Hi everyone,

 

I am interested in a method to connect directly to the chromatography equipment  ÄKTAxpress from GE Healthcare. Could it be done without connecting to  Software UNICORN?

 

Which Driver could be helpful in this situation?

I am not familiar with the hardware but probably Protocol Adapter Toolkit is what you might be looking for.

Hello @oparfon,

 

I'm not sure about avoiding UNICORN software altogether (probably its feasibility depends on what exactly you want to do), but if you do use UNICORN, then it looks like it supports OPC protocol, which is native to ThingWorx Industrial Connectivity, so that would probably be the most straightforward route.

Could we also use Opto 22 Drive from Kepware in order to connect to the equipment?

According to PTC website, Kepware does support Opto22 controllers.
