I am also facing the same issue, if this is resolved Could you please share what is the resolution for this?

To reiterate the information contained in the post you referenced, this extension is not supported by PTC but you can take a look at the one available on github. 

 

Hopefully someone else in the community can provide some assistance. If not, please feel free to vote for this request in the ThingWorx Ideas forum.
