Delay in navigating to popup

On clicking a row in grid, I am passing 5 mashup parameters to a navigation widget which will act as input to open another mashup in popup along with those mashup parameters. Now the issue is on clicking the row in grid, the popup takes 4 to 6 seconds to get displayed. How to reduce this delay?

Usually first load takes longer, next the impact really depends on what you have on the mashup and what services you are running.

Open it with the developer tools open to see what is taken most of the time.
