ETL Tool for Thingworx

Dear Friends

 

We are executing a project. As part of the date, we need to retrieve information from multiple IT systems in addition to the data coming in from sensors. However for data ingestion from the source IT systems, we need to do lot of data transformation. Hence we are planning to have a ETL tool in the Thingworx platform eco-system. Have you ever encountered situations like this? Any best practices in tool selection (ETL) and implementations?

Hi @Rajeshkannan i'm not aware of any available pre-built ETL tool or best practices around for ThingWorx , however there are ample, out of the box services and ThingWorx Extension SDK available to help you quickly get started.

 

Would recommend browsing through the PTC Marketplace for available connectors such as RDBMS and JDBC connectors allowing you to connect to variety of DBs and pull data in ThingWorx (not just RBMS) , also there's Apache Solr extension already available for download from the marketplace.
