Help setting up lua script with HTTP call from Python script

Any example lua scripts and template files for a similar setup would be greatly appreciated. 

Although I doubt its the only problem with my setup, how do I get rid of the following error?

[ERROR] 2018-04-09 14:38:30,517 luaScriptProxy::app_unlock: [-854903040] Attempt to unlock app_mutex while not holding it.L= 0x1cab4c0

I have my config files and a word document explaining my setup in more detail in the attached zip.
