Hi @user539

ThingWorx analytics only works with its built in algorithms, we can not create any custom model in it.

Please see the below articles for more clarification. Hope it will help.

Hi @mgoel

It is known that we can create custom model with masup UI,PredictionThing,TraingThing. Please check below link:

I need detail steps to create custom model for CATRGORICAL data which AnalyticBuilder does not support

Hi @user539

I try to clarify some points here.
Mohit was referring to the available algorithm available in ThingWorx Analytics, those cannot be changed, and indeed https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS254667 lists the ones that are available.

The appropriate algorithm  from this list will be used if using categorical goal. You cannot add a new algorithm.

As you find, ThingWorx Analytics Builder does not currently support categorical goal, so if you have got such data you will need to create a custom service and mashup to be able to train and score such data.

The post that you found https://community.ptc.com/t5/IoT-Tech-Tips/How-to-work-with-ordinal-and-categorical-data-in-ThingWorx/m-p/542406 describes exactly this.

I am not entirely sure what additional details you were asking.

Hope this helps

Kind regards
