How to hide selected item in ptcsdropdown when filter is active

Hi,

need the function to hide selected dropdown item when dropdown filter is active

Do you mean a selection in the drop down, or the whole drop down?

Can you also explain the reason why this is necessary?

I mean if e.g. "22-5" was selected before and then "12" is entered in the filter input field of the dropdown, "22-5" is also displayed in the list even though it does not match the filter criteria

There used to be a custom widget with this exact behavior, not sure if that exists still or not or if it at all made it into product.

I would say that a custom widget would be the way to go as I don't think the standard drop down support this right now/yet?
