Question

How to make a chart work with data from a sensor

I am very new to thingworx. For a school project I need to get info from a sensor, which I currently have set as just a number, to a chart/ graph. Currently on my mashup I can view my data as an led display or on a gauge. How do I take the live data from my sensors and 1) put it into a usable format i.e. a text file or a spreadsheet, and 2) read the data as a live graph in my mashup.

Hi Jace,

I am not sure may be just try out the Data Export Extension from the market place so that you can export that data in different formats.

for showing the data live on the graph on mashup,  first logged that sensor vales and  use the service QueryPropertyHistory.

Jace,

The Developer Portal has a number of How-To guides that will work you through this for almost all of the charts and graphs.  Take a look.
