import of entities.

Hi,

I have been working in Thingworx 8.0 and i exported "Thing" and tried to import it in v8.2 but its showing error.

All the data shapes used in that THING is imported in 8.2 but after trying so many times the Thing is not getting imported.

What could be the possible reason?

Please provide some help.

Hi,

 

What is the error you are receiving in user interface? What about in Application log?

In what format did you export the Thing?

I exported it as single entity.

What is the error in Application log after that import ? Can you locate the exact error there ? It might be because of some dependency missing there .

Good morning,

 

Please, next time make a print with the monitor log, it is easier this way to find the log message.

 

"Import Failed: Validation failure: Kirloskar_DB_Access:Thing had a subscription to an invalid Thing [Kirloskar_Mach1_CycleStartStop_Tag]"

 

There is missing a thing in your import. That's why is falling, if this is the entity that you were trying to import.
