Importing Source control Entities Check Difference

Hi,

does anyone know how Thingworx checks the difference when importing source control entities. We are finding that from time to time files will be marked as being the same (un-ticked checkbox), but in actual fact the files are quite different. We also see the opposite effect in that files that have just been imported are still showing as different. What is the criteria used to decide that a source control entity is different?

The most important part will be to always use Export to Source Control entity vs. just the regular Export.

The file structure will not be the same each time if you use the regular export.

 

As far as a difference not being caught, I am not sure. I think it scans Design items only, not property values or data.
