importing Windchill extension 1.6 to TW 7.3 showing error as Extension must have a metadata.xml file

Hello Team,

 

importing Windchill extension 1.6 to TW 7.3 showing error as Extension must have a metadata.xml file , can you please suggest .

@Shripad Try unzipping ptc-windchill-extension-1.x.x\ptc-windchill-connection-extension . Import the ptc-windchill-connection-extension.zip extension and make sure it get successfully imported..

@Shripad This could be due to the fact that you might be importing the incorrect zip file as extension. Request to please try unzipping and see if there are more .zip files as the package might have other dependent extensions which need to be installed or can be installed.

Note: In an extension zip file, you should have a metadata.xml file directly inside the folder structure which could be seen once unzipped.

Hello Durgesh,

 

Thanks for quick reply . 

 

I have checked in zip file it does not contain  metadata.xml .The zip is downloaded from PTC website .

Even more checked other Windchill Extension zips 1-7-0, 1-7-1, 1-8-0 can not find  metadata.xml when zip is extracted.

 

Installed TW  veersion 7.3 & trying for Navigate configuration . Attached the information from Support Matrix.

 

Please suggest.
