Kendo Dropdown List: How to set the selected value of a Kendo Dropdown List widget?

Hello,

I have troubles with setting the selected text of a Kendo Dropdown List widget. I have tried to bind a string to the 'value' property or even initialize the property with a text but when I run the mashup the list has not a selected value. Do you know how I can fix this problem?
