Latest Supported Version of ThingWorx Compatible with Windchill on Azure

We are evaluating the most suitable version of ThingWorx for our current setup. At present, we are using ThingWorx 9.2.1, where multiple Things have been created and several route APIs are configured to connect Windchill through ODATAConnector.

Recently, our Windchill system has been migrated to an Azure VM, and we plan to install the latest supported version of ThingWorx that is fully compatible with this environment.

Could you please advise on:

  • The recommended ThingWorx version for Azure VM integration with Windchill
  • Any prerequisites or considerations for upgrading from 9.2.1

Your guidance will help us ensure a smooth transition and maintain system stability.

The first place to start is with the Release Advisor.  This tool will help you determine exactly which versions are compatible.

 

In terms of a recommendation from PTC, we always recommend the latest compatible versions due to the security fixes, bug fixes, and enhancements that you won't find in the earlier releases.
