License details required for High Availability Configuration in Thingworx

Hello All,

 

I have couple of questions regarding the High Availability in Thingworx, this topic is new for me:

1. Is Kepware server required or using Thingworx Connection Server it will work?

2. Is Thingworx Connection Server need additional license, or it will work freely if I have Thingworx platform license?

3. As in HA, we need multiple Thingworx instances, do same license work or separate license is required for all the instances?

 

Also, please let me know if any I should consider as pricing point of view.

Hi @javed_a 

 

1. ThingWorx Connection Server is required.  Refer to the Help Center for more information.

2. Are you able to see ThingWorx Connection server on the PTC download site?  If so, you own an entitlement.  It doesn't use ThingWorx licensing.

3. You will use the same license file for all HA instances in the cluster.  This means that the keystore files located in ThingworxStorage and ThingWorxPlatform need to be the same across all instances in the cluster.
