Out-of-the-box 404-Entity Not found message

We have Thingworx app which is used by 40000 users. For triaging issues with access we need to better present the message to the user.

I saw this on the community. Has anybody implemented this solution? Or is there a better way to handle this?

Hi @PreetiGupta 

 

Are you interested in displaying a message in the browser along with the error message?  You can use the Status Message function for passing the error to and then output additional text.

While that can work, what exactly is the use-case you want to cover here?

Is it that you want to make sure that whatever Mashup Name the user manually writes in the browser you will see a nicer message?

Or you would like to make sure that if the developers set an incorrect mashup in the application, and the users try to access through the designated normal URL, will see a nicer message? (which is better error handling actually)
