Problem with Things Template Visibility

Hi,

I am trying to set the visibility for ThingTemplate so that users (developer) can only see the template they created.

However, now I am unable to assign the GenericThing Template to the Thing, it seems like the system disable the generic template and make them invisible also.

Any helper here?

You can set the permissions on the GenericThing Template too. To do so, click on Thing Templates, and then click on 'Advanced' and check 'Show System Objects'. Now you would be able to search for GenericThing. Once you see that entity, click on the lock icon available on the last column to change the entity's visibility, design time and run time permissions.
