Resizing the Trigger Icon in Dynamic Panel Widget

I'm looking to develop a mashup for mobile use that takes advantage of the dynamic panel widget. However, the trigger button/ icon is extremely small when used in that setting. Is there a way to enlarge the icon?

I could be wrong, but I thought you could provide custom icons for that.

If there is a way to do that while making that icon bigger than the default button then yes. If a custom icon ends up the same size as what the default is then it doesn't do a ton of good. 

 

I've subverted this issue on my end by tying the expand/ collapse action to a button widget on each part of the panel that collapses/ expands to view the other panel. I then set the panels to only display at 100% minimum to take up the whole screen.
