Retrieving MES Serial Genealogy in ThingWorx via REST Integration

Hello Community,

I'm working on a use case where ThingWorx needs to retrieve serial genealogy/traceability information from an external MES system (Ignition MES) through REST APIs.

For a given serial number, I need to access:

• Component serials and lot numbers
• Work order/production order details

I'd like to understand the recommended approach in ThingWorx for:

• Consuming external REST APIs for genealogy data
• Modeling and storing genealogy relationships

Has anyone implemented a similar MES-to-ThingWorx genealogy integration? Any best practices, sample architectures, or extension recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
