thingworx 9.0 stability and disappearing of widgets

Hi,

We are thinking about migrate to ThingWorx 9.0. Is the ThingWorx 9.0 version stable to be deployed in customer place?

ThingWorx 9.0 is a stable version.  However, since 9.0 is a major release, it is recommended that you clone one of your existing environments for testing the upgrade procedure and fully regression testing all apps.  It may be necessary to make updates to your custom code.

 

If you're unable to clone a system for testing, create a snapshot if running on a VM, or make backups of the following to ensure recovery if needed:

  • ThingworxStorage
  • ThingworxPlatform
  • <tomcat_home>
  • database export

Hi @slangley,

We upgraded from ThingWorx 8.5 to ThingWorx 9.0 and imported the mashups we built using ThingWorx 8.5 but most of the standard and legacy widgets we used in the mashup got disappeared. Is there a way to identify why it has disappeared or is it a bug in ThingWorx 9.0?

Could you please help us on how to proceed with this?

Please provide more information regarding your upgrade procedure.  You stated you imported the mashups after upgrading to 9.0, so I'm assuming you did not perform an in-place upgrade.
