ThingWorx C SDK Example issue

Hi all, 

I am using following the C SDK guide:

At the guide, I am trying to follow the 'ExampleClient' example (step 3). I am building the example code properly, and I establish a connection to the platform. However, when I monitor the 'thing', I see it as an 'unbound', unlike the example. I have tried using the 'Administrator' user for the application key, but it didn't help. 

What am I doing wrong?
