To remove deprecated widgets

Hi All,

Which approach I must follow to remove deprecated widgets ?

Approach 1 : 

Already have mashups imported from previous version which are having deprecated widgets. Replace each deprecated widget with new one.

 

Approach 2 : 

Redesign new Mashup completely with new widgets but then it will consume a lot of time for me.

 

If I go with approach#1 and remove all deprecated widgets will it still impact my mashup performance. Does importing mashup of previous version impacts performance even if we have replaced it with new widgets ? 

I need this because at some points events are not working for mashups but working fine with new one.

There are some automatic conversion capabilities, after that you should just replace old with new.

There shouldn't be a negative performance impact by doing that.
