What is the difference between PingFederate and ADFS?

Dear PTC,
We are in the process of planning an AM deployment. The purpose of this discussion is to gain a comprehensive understanding and documentation of the capabilities of PinkFederate and ADFS, as well as the differences between the two.
Background Information:
We configure an Windchill to Denodo connection on our network utilizing PinkFederate and OAuth2.
We seek your expertise in determining the most suitable approach between PinkFederate and ADFS for our requirements and can we do the same setup using ADFS.
